The brief
A dated, split-level home where the living space didn't work. The owners wanted light, a proper open kitchen-diner and a contemporary feel.
Our approach
A single-storey rear infill that opens the back of the house right up: vertical cedar and zinc cladding, a glazed stair lightwell and full-width bi-fold doors, worked across the home's stepped lower-ground level.
The outcome
Approved after a series of design-review refinements: a crisp, modern extension that changes how the whole house lives.
